Kuusamo centre is surrounded by lakes and rivers, with gentler terrain than Ruka and its own network of ski trails. Kuusamotalo houses the town’s 520-seat cinema, Karhuntassu has tourist information and exhibitions, and there are two supermarkets and smaller shops; Holiday Club Kuusamon Tropiikki and Hostel Aurora are nearby.
