From the top of Lift 12, a short hike along Prospect Ridge leads into Black Iron Bowl, with drops of about 1,000 vertical feet; beyond it, Palmyra Peak’s north face offers well over 200 acres and almost 2,000 vertical feet, about 1 to 1½ hours’ hike past the bowl. The Gold Hill Chutes and Bald Mountain open as conditions allow; the Bald Mountain gate closes at 2pm.
