About Ski Centre Stara Planina
Skijališta Srbije, the state company that runs Kopaonik, operates the ski centre. From Jabučko Ravnište the gondola climbs into the lift system; at Babin Zub the Konjarnik and Babin Zub four-seat chairlifts and the Sunčana Dolina drag lift serve the upper runs, while the Rudine drag lift links the two areas. Runs range from the easy Babin Zub and Jabučko Ravnište pistes to the difficult Konjarnik and Sunčana Dolina. The live status of every lift and run is on the operator’s site, and the call centre answers from 8:00 to 15:30.
The lifts, from the operator’s own list: the Jabučko Ravnište gondola (1,222 skiers an hour), the Babin Zub four-seat chairlift (2,399), the Konjarnik four-seat chairlift (1,365), the Sunčana Dolina drag lift (1,200), the Rudine drag lift (690) and the children’s park moving carpet (1,440).
The runs: Konjarnik 1 and Sunčana Dolina 2 are graded difficult; Konjarnik 1a and Jabučko Ravnište 7a and 7b intermediate; Babin Zub 5 and 5a, Jabučko Ravnište 7 and the children’s park easy. Ski roads 5 and 6 link Babin Zub with Jabučko Ravnište, so when the Rudine lift or the ski roads are closed you cannot ski from one area to the other.

Our advice: early and late in the season, and in thin-snow spells, the operator often runs only the gondola and run 7; check the live page before you set off, and follow its announcements for opening-day offers.
