Hotel Stara Planina gives the route: take the motorway to Niš, leave it for Zaječar and Knjaževac, and from Svrljig follow road 222 to the ski centre. You can also come through Knjaževac (about 50 km) or from Pirot (about 55 km) on road 221 to Kalna, then road 222. Carry winter tyres and chains, as the last stretch climbs into the mountains.
