Train to Le Châble, then cable car
About Getting to Verbier
Trains run to Le Châble, in the valley below Verbier: about 2h40 from Geneva and 4h20 from Zurich, according to the tourist office. From Le Châble the cable car to Médran or the bus to the Place Centrale takes 20 minutes at the same fare. By road, allow about 1h50 from Geneva Airport and 3h15 from Zurich Airport.
By train: the SBB network brings you to Le Châble, where the cable car runs continuously from 5:10 am to 11:55 pm and takes you straight to Médran; GA and Half-Fare travelcards are valid. The bus drops you at Station Poste on the Place Centrale, and ski-pass holders ride it without charge on the same day when the cable car is running.
Direct trains: on winter weekends and public holidays the Verbier Express and VosAlpes Express run to Le Châble from Geneva Airport and from Fribourg without a change, and their passengers get 30% off a one-day or half-day ski pass. The SBB ‘Flight luggage’ service carries bags between the airport and your station.

Our advice: take the train and the cable car. You arrive at Médran, ready to ski.
