About Beaver Run Resort
Beaver Run Resort is a big, family-friendly resort on Peak 9, with its own chairlift, the Beaver Run SuperChair, and Main Street a short walk away. It offers hotel rooms to specialty suites across several buildings, The Spa at Beaver Run, two pool areas with ten hot tubs, Spencer’s restaurant and a 24-hour arcade.
Its own chairlift
Beaver Run has a chairlift of its own: the Beaver Run SuperChair on Peak 9. Building 4 stands right beside it, and buildings 1, 2 and 3 are across the street. Main Street Breckenridge is steps away, and a courtesy shuttle and the town shuttle cover the rest of town.
The Spa at Beaver Run
The spa offers massages, facials, body scrubs and nail care, with an oxygen bar and add-on oxygen treatments. Its covered garden patio has heated walkways, outdoor couches and lounge chairs and soaking tubs, and guests reserve a time in the hot tubs and soaking mineral bath before or after their treatment. Robes are provided. The spa is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm, and children under 16 must be with a parent in the treatment rooms and on the patio.
Where the Rocky Mountains meet Main Street, in the resort’s words.
Pools and hot tubs
The Building 3 pool area has an indoor/outdoor pool and nine outdoor hot tubs; Building 4 has an outdoor pool with a larger hot tub, a grilling area and an indoor lounge with a fireplace. A third, private pool area is inside the spa. There is a fitness centre, and the 24/7 arcade keeps children busy on bad-weather days.
Rooms and suites
The range runs from hotel rooms and studios to suites, one- and two-bedroom condos and specialty suites of three and four bedrooms. In the slopeside Building 4, studios measure 462 sq ft, Summit and Colorado suites 617 sq ft with a fireplace and balcony, one-bedroom suites 775 sq ft and two-bedroom suites 1,125 sq ft, with full kitchens; Building 4 also has a ski locker room. Dog-friendly rooms are available.
Eating and drinking
Spencer’s serves classic cocktails and steakhouse favourites beside the SuperChair, for breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner, with a private dining room for groups. Skywalk Market is the deli and market, and there is a take-out service.
Our advice: book a one- or two-bedroom suite in Building 4 for the ski-out, reserve the spa patio’s soaking tubs for after skiing, and walk to Main Street for dinner.
