Snowpine Lodge stands at the base of Alta Ski Area with ski-in/ski-out access, ski valet and an on-site ski shop. Its Stillwell Spa has six treatment rooms, a granite grotto with a cold plunge, a steam room and Finnish sauna, and guests share a heated outdoor pool, jetted spas, three places to eat and The Nest games room.

At the base of Alta

Snowpine Lodge sits at the base of Alta Ski Area in Little Cottonwood Canyon, with ski-in/ski-out access, an on-site ski shop on the Aspen Level and ski valet. Lockers next to the shop, with boot warmers, are included for guests, and the beginners’ Snowpine Lift beside the lodge needs no ticket.

Stillwell Spa

Stillwell Spa has six treatment rooms built with natural materials and the original granite stone, and a softly lit grotto with a cold plunge pool. Treatments bring access to the steam room, Finnish sauna, relaxation lounge, the mountainside pool and Jacuzzis, plus a private reservation for the Spa Grotto. The menu uses ELEMIS facials, Utah-made Acrely Farms botanicals and recovery massages with Therabody cupping, and wellness classes run to a seasonal schedule.

Refined mountain luxury with unmatched ski-in, ski-out convenience, in the lodge’s words, at the base of Alta.

Outside, the heated outdoor pool and jetted spas are open all year, with pool loungers, a volleyball net and fire pits on the terrace overlooking Albion Basin; s’mores kits come from the front desk.

Rooms and suites

Rooms range from cosy standard rooms and slope-side kings, some with balconies, to slope-side family kings with a small bunk room for children and Lift View kings, among the lodge’s most spacious. Suites add a living room with a sofa bed and the best views from a private balcony, and a two-bedroom penthouse has soaring ceilings and panoramic windows. Bunk rooms and dorms cater for budget groups.

Eating and drinking

Swen’s Restaurant, with floor-to-ceiling windows and an open kitchen, serves modern American cooking rooted in French technique, with breakfast daily 8–10am. The Gulch Pub does handcrafted cocktails and globally inspired après dishes. The Igloo, a ski-in après venue, serves beers, cocktails and wood-fired pizza from Thursday to Sunday, noon–6pm, with DJs at weekends from 3pm; it opens for the season on 23 December 2026.

Families

The Nest is Alta’s first fully stocked games room, open 9am–10pm, with pool, ping pong, foosball, a cinema and arcade games, and The Little Nest has activities for the youngest. The fitness centre and yoga room complete the facilities.

Our advice: book a massage to enjoy the grotto and cold plunge, choose a slope-side room with a balcony, and finish the day at The Igloo.
