SkiStar Lodge Trysil is a high-mountain hotel at Fageråsen, 802 metres up, with ski-in, ski-out access. It has 98 hotel rooms and 167 apartments, the Kulpen Spa and Relax with indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpools and four saunas, a Family Spa, four restaurants and two bars, two playrooms and a gym.

High on the mountain

The lodge stands at 802 metres in Fageråsen, by Høyfjellssenteret, with ski-in, ski-out access and nature as its closest neighbour. Large windows bring the mountain into the restaurants, the sauna and the rooms. Ski and bike rental, a sports shop and a bakery are in the building, and children up to six eat at no charge at selected SkiStar restaurants.

Kulpen Spa and Relax

Kulpen has indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpools and four saunas. The newer Family Spa lets parents and children use the spa together, and there is a gym.

Eating and drinking

Four restaurants and two bars cover the day: breakfast and lunch buffets, pub menus, American hamburgers and à la carte. New this season, Luca serves pastries and lunch by day and an Italian menu in the evening.

Families

Two playrooms keep children and teenagers busy, and the slopes start at the door.

Our advice: book an apartment for a family, take the outdoor pool after the last run, and reserve an evening at Luca.
