About The Lodge at Breckenridge

The Lodge at Breckenridge stands at 10,200 ft on a forested cliffside above town, with panoramic views of Boreas Pass, Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Tenmile Range. It is a boutique lodge of 57 renovated rooms and suites, with outdoor hot tubs, Traverse Restaurant & Bar and a shuttle down to Breckenridge.

Above Breckenridge

The Lodge sits on Overlook Drive, high above town on a forested cliff, and its view is its fortune: Boreas Pass, the ski resort and the Tenmile Range spread out below. A shuttle runs to town and the lifts all year, from 8am to 10pm daily, and on-site parking is included.

Hot tubs and the campfire

There is no spa. Instead the outdoor hot tubs look out over the mountains, and a dedicated campfire spot, with s’mores kits and drinks from the front desk, makes for slow evenings under the Breckenridge sky.

One of the world’s highest-altitude hotels, in the lodge’s words.

Rooms and suites

All 57 guest rooms have been renovated, with Lodge and Mountain View rooms, a Lodge King Junior Suite and one-bedroom suites with a sitting area, kitchenette and separate bedroom. Rooms have ceiling fans rather than air conditioning, except in the suites, and some have small terraces. Adjoining rooms, balconies and fireplaces can be requested in advance. The lodge is proudly dog friendly, and two vacation houses, Alpine House and Summit House, are available for groups.

Eating and drinking

Traverse Restaurant & Bar has panoramic mountain views and sunsets, with breakfast à la carte from 7am to 10am, happy hour from 4pm to 5.30pm and dinner from 4pm to 9pm, using local and sustainable ingredients, with gluten-free and dairy-free dishes.

Our advice: book a Mountain View room or suite, be in the hot tubs for sunset, and dine at Traverse rather than going down to town. Take the shuttle on ski days.
