About Huso Lodge & Farm
Huso Lodge & Farm is a boutique mountain lodge 800 metres up, 17 km (about 20 minutes) from Hemsedal Ski Centre. It lets large cottages for 15 to 34 guests and boutique apartments for six, with wood-fired hot tubs and barrel saunas outside the door, and its chefs cook from the farm: catering to the cottage, a private chef or dinners in its event rooms.
A farm in the mountains
Huso sits in open country 800 metres above sea level, about 20 minutes by car from Hemsedal Ski Centre. Groomed cross-country tracks start about 100 metres from the houses, and the lodge also arranges dog sledding and ice bathing.
Hot tubs and saunas
The wellness here is outdoors. Cottages and apartments have wood-fired hot tubs and barrel saunas outside the door, and your hot tub and sauna are part of the stay: you warm up under the open sky after a day on the mountain.

The cottages
The cottages are made for big groups. Lakeview Cottage and Queen’s Cottage each sleep 15; King’s Cottage sleeps 20 and Stable House 21; and Viking House, the largest, sleeps 34 in 12 bedrooms. Couple’s Cottage is for two, and three Boutique Apartments sleep six each in two bedrooms. The host lights your fire on arrival.
Eating
The farm grows its own vegetables and herbs without synthetic sprays or ploughing, preserves the harvest the same day, and takes trout from mountain lakes and moose and deer from the surrounding wilderness, with meat from valley farms. You choose how to eat: catering cooked and delivered to the cottage, a private chef for three courses at your table, or a dinner in one of the event rooms. The farm shop sells meat and valley goods by arrangement.
Our advice: gather a large party for one of the big cottages, book the private chef for one night, and time the hot tub for after dark.
