Bianca stands among tall pines a short walk from the centre of Kolašin, on the site of Hotel Bjelasica, opened in 1948 and reimagined in 2005 in the style of a traditional Montenegrin mountain house. Bianca Spa has an indoor pool facing the forest, a children’s pool, a jacuzzi and a thermal zone, and the hotel has Restaurant Chives, an Aperitif Bar and suites up to 178 m².

Among the pines

Bianca looks out to Bjelasica mountain and the pine forest, a short walk from Kolašin’s centre. The site has hosted travellers since 1948, when it opened as Hotel Bjelasica; reopened in 2005, it is built like a Montenegrin mountain house, with chalet interiors, natural materials and works by Montenegrin painters.

The indoor pool, open all year, is surrounded by the pine forest behind floor-to-ceiling windows, with a separate children’s pool and a jacuzzi with hydromassage jets; a smaller outdoor pool opens in summer. The thermal zone has separate saunas for men and women, a Finnish sauna and a steam room. Four treatment rooms, one a couples’ suite, offer massages, body rituals and facials with Phyt’s organic skincare, and there is a gym and a hair salon on request.

The spa is open 09:00–21:00, the thermal zone 16:00–20:00, and children under 15 may use the spa until 19:00.

Rooms and suites

Standard rooms measure 15 m², Superior rooms 20 m² and Executive rooms 24 m². Junior Suites, 42 m², have a living area and a jacuzzi; Executive Suites measure 74 m² with a dining area, and the Presidential Suite, 178 m², has a kitchen and a jacuzzi and sleeps six.

Eating and drinking

Restaurant Chives, with big windows onto the pines, serves international and local dishes, from the buffet or à la carte, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Aperitif Bar in the lobby pours Italian coffee from 08:00 to midnight, the Wild Berry Pool Bar serves smoothies and juices by the pool, and Night Club Tara opens for groups.

Our advice: book a Junior Suite for the jacuzzi, ski Kolašin by day, and time your return for the thermal zone’s 16:00 opening. Families should swim before 19:00.
