About Burg Vital Resort
Burg Vital Resort is a family-run five-star superior resort in car-free Oberlech, ski-in and ski-out. Its 29 suites, 8 apartments and 22 rooms are spread across seven chalets connected underground, with a 3,800 m² Vital Spa, indoor and outdoor pools, four restaurants including the Griggeler Stuba and a wine cellar of more than 4,000 positions.
Above Lech, on the slope
Burg Vital sits on the sunny plateau of Oberlech, a short walk from the Lech–Oberlech cable car and car-free in winter. It is family-run, ski-in and ski-out, and spread across seven chalets connected underground: 29 suites, 8 apartments and 22 comfort rooms, 59 in all.
The Vital Spa
The spa covers 3,800 m² over three levels, with more than 1,000 m² of garden for sunbathing. The indoor pool is kept at 28 °C with a counter-current, waterfall and massage jets; the outdoor pool at 30 °C looks over the Oberlech mountains. There is a sauna village, a sole spa with a salt sauna and a float pool under a starry sky, a tepidarium at 38 °C, relaxation rooms with heated water beds and a private spa.

Treatments include massages, physiotherapy, facials and Ayurveda, and there is a hair and nail salon. The vitalSPORT fitness centre has Technogym equipment and trainers, a daily exercise and relaxation programme, a yoga studio and an indoor golf range.
Eating and drinking
Griggeler Stuba is the fine-dining restaurant, with a set menu only and no à la carte, and opens in set weeks of the winter. Restaurant Picea offers two lines, Simply Enjoy and vitalCOOKING, with vegetarian dishes and lunch on the sun terrace; Das Wirtshaus serves Austrian home cooking family-style, with a view into the kitchen. The LU Bar, here since 1997, has a fire, chess and live piano, beside a Cuban cigar lounge, and the wine cellar holds more than 4,000 positions from Champagne to the Wachau.
Families
Children from three join a supervised programme of games, crafts and holiday events; the playroom opens six days a week from 4pm to 9.30pm, and there is a separate room for older children. The Oberlech ski school sits directly across from the sun terrace.
Our advice: book a suite in one of the quieter chalets, ski to the door, and keep one evening for the Griggeler Stuba, booked well ahead.
