Below the slopes
Design Hotel Levi stands in the heart of Levi village, 170 km north of the Arctic Circle and directly below the slopes of Levi Ski Resort; Kittilä Airport is just over an hour’s flight from Helsinki. The hotel belongs to Levi Hotel Spa Resort, so the spa, the restaurants and the lifts are a few steps from your room.
Water World Levi
The resort’s spa is Water World Levi: a multi-purpose pool with massage stations, an outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a fitness pool with a 20-metre lane, an aqua-jogging pool, a warm pool and a cold pool, two hot and cold walking pools, two children’s pools and a water slide. The saunas include Finnish saunas, a salt sauna and steam saunas, and the youngest have the Ailu Family Fun play area. The outdoor hot tubs close below –15°C, and Water World takes a maintenance break in May and early June; check the resort’s price list for access with your room.
Step into a dream amidst Lapland’s wilderness, in the hotel’s words.
Rooms and suites
There are 77 rooms and suites, each different, in Deluxe Double, Deluxe Family and Deluxe Suite categories. Large windows bring the fell into the room, so it is the first thing you see in the morning, and the walls carry photographic prints by Kaisa Sirén.
Eating and drinking
Restaurant Kekäle cooks over open fire with seasonal local ingredients and has a cocktail lounge of classic and contemporary drinks, with a premium breakfast in winter. Restaurant Ahku serves hearty everyday food, morning and evening.
Our advice: book a Deluxe Suite facing the fell, ski straight from the hotel in the morning, and spend the late afternoon between Water World’s outdoor hot tubs and the salt sauna.
