About Hotel Hullu Poro
Hotel Hullu Poro, the Crazy Reindeer, is a family business in the centre of Levi, 15 km from Kittilä, and a favourite of travellers for three decades. Many rooms and apartments have their own sauna; two sauna areas with a jacuzzi, a cold plunge and a steam room are included in the stay; and the family runs a string of restaurants, from Kammi and Ristorante Renna to Taivas and the Hullu Poro Areena.

Hullu Poro stands at Rakkavaarantie 5, in the centre of Levi village, 15 km from Kittilä. It is a family business that has grown over three decades into a small world of its own, with restaurants, bars and an arena for concerts and events.
Saunas
Sauna use is always included in your stay. There are two sauna areas, each with separate men’s and women’s saunas: a traditional Finnish sauna in the main building, open daily 5–9pm, with a shared jacuzzi and cold plunge pool; and traditional saunas in a separate building with a Tylö steam room for six, open in autumn and winter. Bring swimwear for the mixed pool area.

Many rooms also have their own sauna: Standard Twin rooms with sauna, Family rooms with sauna, and two-storey and Premium two-storey apartments with sauna. By the Ounasjoki river, at the family’s Elves Village, a 100-year-old log sauna takes up to 15 at about 60°C.

Rooms run from Standard Twin rooms, with bath or with sauna, to Junior Suites with a bathtub, Superior rooms, Family rooms and the Deluxe apartment.
Eating and drinking
The choice is wide: Restaurant Kammi, Ristorante Renna, Taivas, Wanha Hullu Poro, Ämmilä, the Pihvipirtti steakhouse, Bistro Hullu Poro, Asia, the Reindeer Lounge & Bar and Pub Hölmölä among them. The Hullu Poro Areena hosts concerts and events, with VIP boxes and a street-food grill.
Our advice: book a two-storey apartment with sauna for a family, try the riverside log sauna at Elves Village, and check the Areena’s calendar before you travel.
