Hotel Grand has welcomed guests on Kopaonik for four decades, in its own words. Today it pairs one of the mountain’s largest spas with the resort’s most traditional grand-hotel rooms: a fireside salon, Bacco restaurant with its own cellar, and rooms and suites with mountain views.

A mountain tradition

Grand calls itself tradition with a view to the future, and it has been part of Kopaonik for four decades. Its public rooms still feel like a grand hotel: the Grand Salon, with its fireplace and views of the peaks, has been a meeting place for generations.

The spa and the pools

The Spa & Wellness centre covers about 2,000 m², according to the hotel, with eight treatment rooms and a beauty salon for hair, manicures and pedicures. There is an indoor pool of 18 × 9 m for swimming, and an outdoor heated pool of 22 × 8 m with outdoor jacuzzis, where you swim under the stars with Pančić’s peak above you. The thermal zone has a lava sauna suitable for families, a bio sauna, a steam bath, an infrared room with a Himalayan salt wall, experience showers and an ice fountain. A Technogym fitness centre completes it.

The aroma laboratory

A signature of the Grand is its aroma laboratory, where scrubs, serums and massage oils are made by hand from local flowers and herbs; in summer you can walk the mountain with the team to gather the ingredients for your own.

Eating and drinking

Bacco is the hotel’s fine-dining room, for steaks finished at your table and a private cellar of Super Tuscans, French classics and champagne, presented by the sommelier. The Grand Salon is the bar for coffee by the fire and evening music, and Garden, the gastro ski bar, serves mulled wine and afternoon plates with the view.

Rooms and suites

Rooms range from standard, superior and deluxe rooms to family rooms with a hall and wardrobe, junior, family and executive apartments and a presidential suite; the executive suites come with an all-day concierge programme.

Our advice: save an evening swim in the outdoor pool for a clear night, book Bacco for dinner, and ask the concierge about the aroma-lab workshop.
