About Grand Hotel Bellevue
Grand Hotel Bellevue stands in the forest at the top of the Pohorje gondola, above Maribor, with the ski slope of the Zlata Lisica race beside it. The four-star has a sauna world, a fitness centre renovated in 2023, rooms from 25 m² to 65 m² family suites, and a large terrace looking out over the city.
Above the gondola
Bellevue is the hotel at the top of Pohorje’s gondola, in the forest high above Maribor, and the views from its terrace run out over the city and the plain. The ski slope beside it is the home of the Zlata Lisica, an elite women’s ski race, so you start the day on the snow from the door. Maribor’s airport is about 10 km away, and the hotel arranges transfers.
The sauna world
The wellness centre is built around its saunas: aroma steam baths and Turkish saunas, an extreme Finnish sauna, infrared saunas and a mild chromotherapy laconium, with spa treatments alongside. The fitness centre was fully renovated in 2023 with modern equipment, and there is table tennis.

Rooms
Double rooms measure 25–30 m², some with a balcony; studio apartments 25 m²; family rooms of 30 m² take two adults and two children, and family suites of 65 m² sleep four to six.
Eating and drinking
The kitchen cooks seasonal dishes from fresh local ingredients, with traditional Slovenian meat dishes seasoned with local herbs and desserts from potica to seasonal fruit. Children have their own menus and play areas. The large terrace seats up to 100 and looks over Maribor.
All year
The hotel arranges guided tours on foot, by bike and by quad, and sleigh rides in winter, with cross-country skiing and snowboarding on Pohorje.
Our advice: book a room with a balcony, ski the Zlata Lisica slope in the morning, and keep the late afternoon for the sauna and a drink on the terrace as the lights of Maribor come on.
