About Habakuk Wellness & Event Hotel
Habakuk stands on Pohorska ulica at the foot of Pohorje, on the edge of Maribor and a few minutes from the city centre and the Lent riverside. It has 137 rooms and six junior suites, a 740 m² wellness area with an indoor pool and four heat rooms, the Serenity by Eberlin beauty centre and a 24-hour gym.
At the foot of Pohorje
Habakuk sits where Maribor meets the mountain: the Pohorje forests and ski slopes rise behind it, and the city centre, the Lent promenade and the Old Vine House are a few minutes away. It makes an easy base for skiing Pohorje by day and dining in Maribor by night.
The wellness
The wellness area covers 740 m². The indoor pool is heated to 28–30 °C, with swan-neck jets, jacuzzi benches and loungers with views over the city, and waterfall showers on the way out. The heat rooms are an infrared sauna at 45–60 °C, a Finnish sauna at 70–100 °C, a herbal steam bath and a Turkish bath at 40–50 °C, with rain showers between them.

The pool is open 11:00–20:00 and the saunas 14:00–20:00. The Serenity by Eberlin beauty centre, open daily 11:00–20:00, uses Eberlin Biocosmetics for facials, body treatments, massages, manicures and pedicures, and has a private spa for up to four with its own sauna and jacuzzi. The fitness centre covers more than 240 m², is open around the clock, and has two squash courts.

Eating and drinking
The hotel restaurant, with 180 seats under chef Gregor Jabuka, cooks Slovenian dishes with international influences, with lunch from 12:00 to 16:00 and dinner from 18:00 to 21:00. The Lobby Bar, open from 08:00 to midnight, has a big terrace, live music and DJ nights. Breakfast is a buffet with regional specialities.
Our advice: ski Pohorje until mid-afternoon, then come down for the sauna opening at 14:00 and an evening in the pool. Couples should book the private spa ahead.
