About Sport & Spa Hotel Strass
The Sport & Spa Hotel Strass, run by the Roscher family, stands in the centre of Mayrhofen directly next to the Penkenbahn. Its 3,000 m² spa has a saltwater pool, a sports pool, a children’s pool and two sauna areas, and its bars and restaurants run from the ICEBAR to NAMI Asian Fusion.
Next to the Penkenbahn
The Strass stands in the centre of Mayrhofen, directly beside the Penkenbahn cable car, with 142 km of pistes reached from the door. The Roscher family runs it, and it has been rebuilt for sport as much as for spa, with two squash courts, e-bikes and a sun garden with a mountain view.
The spa
The spa covers 3,000 m². There is a saltwater pool to float in, a sports pool for lengths, a whirlpool and a hot whirlpool, and on the ground floor a children’s pool. The nude sauna area, a retreat for adults, has its own pool, a Turkish steam bath, a Finnish sauna, a laconium, a biosauna, an infrared sauna and a herbal sauna. Families share a textile area with a Finnish sauna and steam sauna. Cold grottos, experience showers, a Kneipp basin and a salt meditation room complete it. Guests may use the spa on their departure day too.

Rooms and suites
Rooms run from the Deluxe single (about 18 m²) and the Deluxe double (about 28 m²) to the Deluxe triple, junior suites and penthouse suites (about 32 m²). Apartments of about 95 m² sleep four or five.
Eating and drinking
Breakfast is a generous buffet. PAT’S Pizzeria serves pizza, pasta and sparkling wine from Tuesday to Sunday, 12.00 to 22.00, NAMI Asian Fusion sushi, curries and wok dishes, and LIEBIE’S Sports Bar live sport from 15.00. The ICEBAR is the après-ski bar, open daily from 15.30 to 22.00.
For skiers
From December 2025, the new ski room has a heated, lockable locker for each guest.
Our advice: book a junior or penthouse suite, ski straight back to the ICEBAR, and save the adults’ sauna area for after dinner.
