Les Fermes de Marie is a five-star hotel of old farmhouses in a two-hectare park in the centre of Megève, part of Maisons et Hôtels Sibuet. Its spa, La Ferme de Beauté, has a pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a steam room and Pure Altitude treatments with mountain plants; there are rooms, suites and chalets, a kids’ club and several restaurants.

A hamlet in the village

Les Fermes de Marie is a cluster of old farmhouses in a two-hectare park, in the centre of Megève, created by the Sibuet family. It set out the first mountain spa in 1989, as the hotel tells it, and has been a reference for Alpine wellness ever since.

La Ferme de Beauté

The spa has reinvented Alpine wellness since 1990, built around five elements: wood, water, fire, stone and plants. The indoor pool, full of natural light and lined with old wood and granite, suits children too; there is a jacuzzi, a sauna and a steam room. Treatments use Pure Altitude, the house’s own line, based on mountain plants and aromatic oils, and there is a day spa for visitors.

Rooms, suites and chalets

Rooms are dressed in warm woven fabrics and raw materials. Club rooms have a terrace or balcony over the Mont Blanc, Mont d’Arbois, Rochebrune or Mont Joly; Prestige rooms and Junior Suites face south and south-east. For families, duplex rooms, suites with a children’s room and family rooms of up to 90 m² connect; the Suite Mont Joly has three bedrooms, and the Chalet Rochebrune stands within the grounds with a fireplace and terrace. A tower suite sits inside the stone tower.

Eating and drinking

In the main chalet, the Restaurant Traditionnel cooks simple market produce among wood and red-and-white tiles, a must for cheese lovers, and Le Carnotzet keeps the Savoyard tradition. In the village, the Sibuet family also runs the Relais Mont-Blanc, the Beef Lodge and Le Vieux Megève, and in summer L’Alpage des Fermes is a table d’hôtes in the high pastures. Children have their own guest table, La Table des Enfants.

Families

Le Hameau des Enfants is the kids’ club, with a kids’ concierge from 4.30pm to 10pm, Monday to Saturday, in the school holidays. Baby equipment is included on request.

Our advice: families should book a duplex or a suite with a children’s room; couples, a Prestige room facing south. Leave an afternoon for the pool and a Pure Altitude treatment.
