About Flocons de Sel

Flocons de Sel stands at the top of the Route du Leutaz, at the foot of the Rochebrune massif, where Kristine and Emmanuel Renaut built a wood-clad hotel of ten rooms, suites and mazots around Emmanuel Renaut’s restaurant. Its spa has a heated indoor pool with a counter-current, a Swedish bath on the terrace and a sauna.

At the top of the Leutaz road

Flocons de Sel is the dream of Kristine and Emmanuel Renaut, on the Route du Leutaz at the foot of Rochebrune, above Megève. It is a mountain house in wood with ten rooms, suites and mazots, traditional Savoyard chalets, and nature, as they say, is the guest of honour. The winter season reopens on 4 December 2026.

The spa

The spa, at 1,300 metres, combines the warmth of wood with the minerality of stone. The heated indoor pool is a long corridor of water with a gentle counter-current. On the terrace, the Swedish bath is heated to 38 °C, in sharp contrast to the mountain air under falling snow, and there is a sauna and a hot tub. Treatments use the plant-based Dottor Nicola Farmacista line, with arnica, juniper, vanilla, hazelnut and apricot, and hot-stone and back massages. The spa opens daily from 9am to 7.30pm, by appointment.

A sincere, understated expression of the Alpine art of living, in the hotel’s words.

Rooms, suites and mazots

The ten rooms, suites and mazots are clad in wood, with soft fabrics and bold details, and every window, terrace and balcony opens onto Rochebrune. Families can also take the Renauts’ chalets: one with four bedrooms a five-minute walk from the village and the Chamois cable car, and a two-storey apartment in the centre.

Eating and drinking

The restaurant is Emmanuel Renaut’s stage, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, cooking the Alps from lake fish to mountain herbs in a dining room of untreated wood and big windows. A table is guaranteed whenever a room is booked. The cellar holds nearly 1,200 wines, with great Savoie bottles and a collection of Chartreuse going back before 1900. On the restaurant’s closing days, guests eat a lounge menu in the house or at Le Prieuré, the Renauts’ restaurant in the village.

Our advice: book a mazot for privacy, swim against the current after skiing, and plan your stay around the restaurant’s opening nights.
