About Hotel Bohinj
Hotel Bohinj stands in the centre of Ribčev Laz, a stone’s throw from Lake Bohinj and just round the bend from the Vogel cable car. Its adults-only spa has Finnish and Turkish saunas, an ice fountain, a salt room and an outdoor massage pool facing the Julian Alps, and the top suite has a private jacuzzi in Slovenian marble.

The hotel sits in Ribčev Laz, the village at the eastern end of Lake Bohinj, a short walk from the water and the church of St John the Baptist, with Vogel’s cable car, in the hotel’s phrase, just round the bend. It is part of the Alpinia group and holds the EU Ecolabel.
The Wellness & Spa
The spa is for adults over 18. There is a Finnish sauna and a Turkish sauna with an ice fountain between them, a room with a salt-brick wall, and an outdoor massage pool with water jets and views of the Julian Alps. Couples can book Sam Js Pa Ti, a secluded area for two with its own Finnish sauna. Treatments include massages, a Head Spa with natural oils, and facials with DALÚ natural cosmetics; from May to October you can even take breakfast and sparkling wine in the outdoor pool.

The spa opens from 13:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 at weekends, until 22:00; the hotel’s own pages also list later Friday and Saturday closing, so check when you book. Treatments are charged from the spa price list.
Rooms and suites
Classic doubles measure 24–25 m², with or without a balcony; Comfort doubles 28–32 m², with a sofa bed; Active rooms come with a wooden exercise bike, weights and a yoga mat. The family room joins two rooms of 25 m² and 19 m² with two bathrooms, and the Luxury Suite, 48 m² on the top floor, has a living area, a balcony and a private jacuzzi set in Slovenian marble, looking to the lake and the mountains. Breakfast is included.
Eating and drinking
The restaurant serves lunch and dinner from 13:00 to 21:00, and the bar is open from 07:00 to 22:00. Look out for Bohinjska torta, the local cake.
Our advice: book the Luxury Suite or a Comfort room with a balcony, ski Vogel in the morning, and come back for the outdoor massage pool at sunset. Couples should reserve the private sauna.
