About Hotel Majer’ca
Hotel Majer’ca is a small boutique hotel in the village of Stara Fužina, in the Julian Alps beside Lake Bohinj. Several of its rooms have a sauna of their own, inside or on the terrace, and its restaurant, open to the public, serves seasonal tasting menus that join mountain tradition with world cuisine.
In Stara Fužina
Majer’ca stands in Stara Fužina, the old village just above the eastern shore of Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest lake, in the Julian Alps. Vogel’s cable car is a short drive along the lake.
Your own sauna
There is no shared spa; instead the sauna comes with the room. The two Deluxe suites, B1 (38 m²) and B2 (43 m², with a terrace and mountain views), each have a sauna inside. Room 1, a 24 m² ground-floor suite, and the Superior doubles 11 (19 m²) and 12 (22 m²) have private terraces with an outdoor sauna.

Rooms
Beyond the sauna rooms, there are Superior and standard doubles of 17–22 m², most with a balcony and a view, single rooms, duplex suites of 40 m² and 43 m² up steep stairs, a 37 m² Superior family room, and doubles B11 and B12, which connect into a family suite.
The restaurant
The restaurant cooks with seasonal, local ingredients, combining mountain tradition with world cuisine, in tasting menus of three, four or five courses. It is open to non-residents for lunch, dinner, a glass of wine or coffee, and breakfast is served to hotel guests.
Our advice: book suite B2 for the sauna and the mountain view, or room 12 for the terrace sauna, ski Vogel by day and keep the evening for the five-course menu.
