Built around 1863–65, La Couronne in Argentière is, in the tourist office’s words, the oldest hotel complex in the Chamonix valley still operating. Renovated in 2024, it has 69 rooms, 45 in the historic building and 24 in a new extension, at the crossroads of two ski areas.
