About Hotel La Perla, Corvara
La Perla, on Strada Col Alt in Corvara, was founded in 1956 by Ernesto Costa and is filled with the family’s design pieces, with rooms that look to the Sassongher and the Sella. Its small spa has saunas with Dolomites views and a Dolomia stone steam bath, and its restaurants include the MICHELIN-starred La Stüa de Michil and the six historic Stuben of Les Stües.
A Ladin house since 1956
La Perla stands at Strada Col Alt 105 in Corvara in Badia. Ernesto Costa, its visionary founder in the hotel’s words, opened it in 1956, and the house is full of the family’s pieces: ceramic cups, bedheads, typewriters, paintings, clocks and sculptures. Some ceilings come from original 17th-century Stuben. It reopens each winter from 4 December.
The spa
The spa is small and quiet, panelled in wood. There are saunas facing the Dolomites and a steam bath of Dolomia stone, a Sensory Path to take slowly and La Perla’s personalised massage, using natural cosmetics.

Rooms and suites
Comfort rooms (30 m²) have balconies and South Tyrolean furnishings, and the Comfort Dolomites look to the peaks. Romantik rooms (40–45 m²) are panelled in Swiss pine, the Romantik Dolomites facing the Sassongher, Sass Ciampac and the Sella group. On the renovated top floor, the Suite Panorama measures 56 m² and the Suite Alpina 60 m²; the Suite Ernesto (75 m²) has a private sauna; and the Suite Dolomites La Perla (120 m²) has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two balconies, for up to six.
Eating and drinking
La Stüa de Michil is the MICHELIN-starred room, where Simone Cantafio blends local cooking with influences from East and West. Les Stües is a set of six historic Stuben, the Bistrot & Music Club has cocktails and live music, Restaurant Ladinia at the sister Berghotel is an Alpine Ladin inn, and in summer the Biraria L’Murin opens. The Mahatma Wine cellar holds a deep selection to pair with every dish.
Our advice: book a Romantik Dolomites room or the Suite Ernesto, walk the Sensory Path after skiing, and reserve La Stüa de Michil ahead.
