Valia Nostra stands in the village of Smixi, in the mountains of Grevena, very close to the Vasilitsa ski centre and the Valia Calda forest. It has an indoor pool, a sauna, a steam bath and a jacuzzi, superior rooms, maisonettes, suites and lofts for up to six, and arranges ski passes, equipment hire and lessons.

Valia Nostra sits at Smixi in western Macedonia, close to the Vasilitsa ski centre and the old forest of Valia Calda; Samarina, Metsovo and the stone bridges of Grevena are within reach for days off the slopes.

Pool and wellness

The indoor pool opens on Fridays and Saturdays, 15:00–21:00, and is charged as an extra, as are the sauna, the jacuzzi and massages; there is also a steam bath and a relaxation area, and a gym.

Very close to the Vasilitsa ski centre, in the hotel’s words, by the Valia Calda forest.

Rooms, maisonettes and lofts

Superior doubles, some with a view, sleep three with a sofa bed. Maisonettes, with or without a view, and two-room suites on the ground or upper floor sleep four or five, and the lofts take four or six, ideal for families and groups.

Ski and services

The hotel sells ski passes, rents equipment on site and arranges lessons, with a room for your skis. There is a café-bar and snack bar, breakfast in your room, a playground, an indoor play area and a games room for children, and bike rental and walks for summer.

Our advice: book a loft or a maisonette with a view, ski Vasilitsa by day, and plan a Friday or Saturday so the pool is open.
