About Valtur Cervinia Cristallo Ski Resort
Valtur Cervinia Cristallo is a five-star resort at about 2,000 metres at Cielo Alto, 800 metres from the centre of Cervinia, linked to the slopes by a moving walkway. Its 211 rooms and suites share a 220 m² pool, a children’s pool, the Miele spa, three restaurants, a gourmet pizzeria and a Rossignol ski room.
Above the village at Cielo Alto
The Cristallo stands at Cielo Alto, at about 2,000 metres, some 800 metres from the centre of Cervinia and its cable car. A lift in the ski room takes you to a moving walkway, and you ski to and from red run 16 without taking your skis off.
Pools and the Miele spa
The pool area has a 220 m² pool with hydromassage jets and a hydrobike, and a 40 m² pool for children, with loungers and a corner of herbal teas, juices and smoothies. The Miele spa is included for guests (except in Classic rooms) by booking, with robe and towel, and there is a Technogym gym. Children under 12 must be with an adult.
211 rooms and suites, entirely renovated, in the resort’s words.
Rooms and suites
There are 211 rooms and suites, entirely renovated, from Classic, Comfort and Deluxe rooms and their Family versions to Junior Suites, Suites and the Cervino, Matterhorn and Fabulous suites. The Junior Suite Wellness has its own sauna and a Technogym e-bike, and one of the top suites has two private terraces facing the Matterhorn and a private sauna.
Eating and drinking
Gargantua is the central buffet restaurant, with Italian and Aosta Valley dishes cooked live and a vegan corner. Gou is the à la carte room, Azur a ceviche, tequila and sushi bar, and Il Peperoncino a gourmet pizzeria. The main bar, with its central fireplace, has DJ sets and live music and an afternoon skier’s snack. Up the mountain, the resort’s The Sky Club and the Oyster Bar 2550 serve lunch and après-ski with a view of the Matterhorn.
Families and skiers
There is a miniclub, a games room and babysitting from age 3. In the ski room, Rossignol staff scan your feet, rent and prepare equipment, and lessons with a local ski school can be booked at the hotel along with lift passes.
Our advice: book a Junior Suite or above for breakfast at Gou, ski the moving walkway straight onto run 16, and keep one lunch for the Oyster Bar 2550.
