Rosapetra stands at Zuel di Sopra, above Cortina d’Ampezzo, with 34 rooms and suites of fir wood and stone, nearly all facing the Ampezzo Dolomites. Its spa has a 12-metre indoor pool, a Finnish sauna, an outdoor black sauna and a Turkish bath, with Valmont treatments, and Fabio Manni cooks at VISTA restaurant.

Wood, stone and the Dolomites

Rosapetra stands at Zuel di Sopra 1, among the meadows above Cortina d’Ampezzo. Its 34 rooms and suites, 8 of them suites, are built of fir wood and stone with refined fabrics, and almost all look out to the Ampezzo Dolomites.

The Rosapetra SPA

The heated indoor pool is 12 metres long. There is a Finnish sauna, an outdoor black sauna, a Mediterranean bath and a Turkish bath, and relaxation areas with herbal teas and fresh fruit. Treatments follow the Valmont Experience and the Herbal Touch signature rituals, across body, beauty and the senses. The fitness room, renovated in August 2023, has Technogym equipment, with personal trainers and private yoga on request.

The wellness area opens daily from 10.00 to 20.00, treatments from 9.00 to 20.00 and the gym from 8.00 to 20.00. Children under 12 staying at the hotel may use the pool area from 10.00 to 14.00.

Rooms and suites

Rooms run from the Superior and the Deluxe, which faces the Dolomites, to the Premium Deluxe with a terrace or corner garden and the Loft Deluxe, a duplex with a mezzanine and two double beds. Among the suites, the Romantic Dolomites Suite has a mezzanine with a wooden bathtub, the Loft Suite suits families, the Signature Dolomites Suite is open-plan with panoramic views, and the Penthouse, designed with the Italian firm Henge, faces the Dolomites.

Eating and drinking

VISTA, under executive chef Fabio Manni, cooks simply from local produce, with some unexpected seafood dishes and a strong cellar; it serves breakfast from 7.00 to 11.00, lunch from 12.00 to 14.30 and dinner from 19.00 to 22.00. The bar is relaxed and intimate, with regional twists on classic cocktails, and Terrazza26, an open-air lounge among the meadows, has an outdoor bar and, in summer, brunches and aperitifs with DJ sets.

Our advice: book the Romantic Dolomites Suite or the Signature Suite, alternate the black sauna with the snow outside, and take an aperitif on Terrazza26 when the sun is out.
