Les Airelles stands at the heart of Courchevel 1850, a palace in the snow inspired by the fairytale castles of 19th-century Austria-Hungary, with snow-capped turrets, a hand-painted facade and direct access to Les Trois Vallées. It has 44 rooms including 15 suites, an apartment and chalets, the Airelles Spa with pool, jacuzzi and hammam, and a celebrated Winter Camp for children.

A palace in the snow

Les Airelles is an Alpine home-from-home in the Jardin Alpin of Courchevel 1850, with direct access to the slopes of Les Trois Vallées. Its turrets, hand-painted facade and stained glass are inspired by the fairytale castles of 19th-century Austria-Hungary, and inside are log fires, wood-beamed ceilings and European antiques.

The Airelles Spa

The spa sits on the snowline at the heart of the hotel, a calm passage from winter cold to warmth. There is a pool with loungers, a jacuzzi heated to 40 °C, a hammam and a relaxation room for a siesta, and the gym has the latest equipment, with a trainer on request and cryotherapy for recovery. Treatments use La Mer, with its marine ingredients, and LBA, a French house of science and botany.

Rooms and suites

There are 44 rooms, including 15 suites, with wood-panelled ceilings, pastel tones and painted frescoes; suites have living rooms with fireplaces and shower hammams. On the fourth floor, L’Appartement sleeps up to eight, and Le Chalet Ormello up to fifteen. The hotel also has a pool and a cinema room for families.

Eating and drinking

Executive chef Adrien Trouilloud oversees the kitchens, from Alpine dishes on the sunny terrace to an Italian trattoria, with romantic dinners by the fire.

Families

The Winter Camp has ski and skating instructors, its own rink and a heated treehouse; indoors, the Kids’ Club is a mini village with a play fort and workshops. Teenagers have the arcade club, with a pool table, air hockey, cinema screens and simulators, and there is a children’s pool in the spa.

Our advice: ask for a suite with a fireplace, enrol the children in the Winter Camp, and end the day in the 40 °C jacuzzi.
