About Le Massif

Le Massif is a five-star hotel of 80 rooms and suites in the centre of Courmayeur, a breath from the cable car and the boutiques. Its spa has the Bioaquam circuit, a private spa and a fitness area, and La Loge du Massif, its own chalet at 1,700 metres on the Plan Checrouit slopes, has a restaurant, a bar, a terrace and the ski room.

At the foot of Mont Blanc

Le Massif stands in the centre of Courmayeur, a breath from the cable car, as the hotel puts it, and from the town’s best boutiques. Its 80 rooms and suites are brand new in design, Italian in style and built with traditional wood and stone, many with terraces or windows on the Alps. The winter season opens on 28 November.

The spa

The spa opens daily from 11am to 8pm. Its heart is the Bioaquam circuit, with a steam bath, a sauna, emotional showers and a 30 m² hydromassage pool. There is a private spa with its own tub for treatments or couples, a fitness area, and a menu of face and body treatments and rituals, including the Forest Bathing rituals built on forest and mountain essences.

“Every day is a new experience,” in the hotel’s words.

Children aged 3–12 may use the Bioaquam circuit from 11am to noon with an adult; teenagers aged 13–17 may use the spa during opening hours with an adult.

On the slopes: La Loge du Massif

The hotel’s chalet on the slopes is what sets it apart. La Loge du Massif sits at 1,700 metres in the heart of the Plan Checrouit lifts, in wood and stone, looking straight at Mont Blanc. Breakfast is a ritual, aperitivo and après-ski happen on the terrace around braziers, and the gourmet restaurant serves raw and cooked fish and meat dishes for lunch and for special dinners.

Skiing made easy

The ski butler takes care of your equipment, from hire to transport up to the chalet, where heated personal lockers keep boots and skis dry. Ski passes are collected at reception and can cover all the Aosta Valley areas, including La Thuile. The hotel works with Courmayeur’s ski schools, which collect pupils from the hotel, and the concierge arranges freeride, heli-skiing and the Skyway Monte Bianco.

Eating and drinking

In the hotel, the restaurants range from local cooking to Mediterranean dishes of land and sea, with a different restaurant each day as the hotel puts it. Families are well looked after, with a children’s programme and children’s offers in winter and summer.

Our advice: ask for a room with a terrace facing the mountains, let the ski butler carry your skis up the hill, and book lunch at La Loge du Massif on a clear day.
