About Hotel Pavillon

The Truchet family has welcomed guests at the Pavillon since 1965. The four-star hotel is a few minutes from the lifts and the pedestrian centre, with 50 rooms in mountain style, an indoor pool behind wide windows, a wellness area for hotel guests, a restaurant facing the Mont Blanc range and the historic Scotch Corner bar.

A family house since 1965

The Pavillon has been run by the Truchet family since 1965, with the atmosphere of a mountain home and the comfort of a four-star hotel. It is a few minutes from the lifts and from Courmayeur’s pedestrian centre.

Pool and wellness

After the slopes, you swim in the indoor pool, where in winter the bright windows make it feel as if you are swimming in the snow. The wellness area, for hotel guests only, has a sauna, a Turkish bath, a relaxation room, a solarium and a small gym, with a choice of massages. For a bigger thermal day, the hotel books entry to the QC Terme at Pré-Saint-Didier, about ten minutes away by car.

“A timeless luxury, today as fifty years ago,” in the hotel’s words.

Rooms

There are 50 rooms, all in mountain style, with linen washed and pressed in the hotel’s own laundry. The Pavillon Exclusive Service means breakfast in your room at no extra cost, a flexible check-out where possible, and the same room, with your habits remembered, every year.

Eating and drinking

The restaurant is quiet by design: no TV, soft music, and gueridon service from experienced waiters, facing the Mont Blanc range. Each day there are three first courses, three mains and trolleys of salads, cheeses and desserts, with an à la carte menu always available; the chef makes everything in-house, down to the brioches and ice cream, and the sommelier works through a deep wine list. The Scotch Corner bar keeps its historic armchairs, sofas by the fire, a smoking room and card tables, with dozens of Scotch whiskies, grappas and old cognacs.

Our advice: swim at dusk when the snow lights up beyond the glass, ask for breakfast in your room on a powder day, and finish the evening in the Scotch Corner.
