Hotel Park City, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, is an all-suite hotel on Park Avenue, minutes from the slopes. Its spa and health club, open to all hotel guests, has saunas, steam rooms and whirlpools, and the hotel adds a heated outdoor pool, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Bandannas Grill.

An old-world lodge on Park Avenue

Hotel Park City has the warmth of a classic ski lodge, in the Wasatch Mountains. It is minutes from Park City Mountain, Canyons and Deer Valley, and a shuttle runs guests to the ski resorts; a ski valet and an on-site ski rental and tuning service save time in the morning.

The spa and health club

The spa, open from 9am to 6pm, has herbal-infused steam rooms, a dry cedar sauna, whirlpools, meditation rooms, men’s and women’s locker rooms with robes and sandals, a relaxation area and a hydrotherapy tub. Treatments include massages, body wraps, aromatherapy, facials, manicures and pedicures, with couples’ massages in a shared suite. Access is included for all hotel guests, along with the fitness centre and movement studio. The hotel’s pages give the number of treatment rooms as both seven and eight.

Outside, the heated pool offers poolside dining, towel service and spa treatments.

The suites

Every room is a suite. The 42 Executive Suites, 500–525 sq ft, have a lofted king bedroom, a leather sofa sleeper, a balcony or patio, a marble bathroom with jetted tub, a kitchen and a washer/dryer. There are three Deluxe Executive Suites of 650–720 sq ft and four Grand Luxury Suites of 1,200–1,275 sq ft. In the cottages, 32 Cottage Deluxe Executive Suites measure 650 sq ft and 14 Cottage Luxury Suites 850 sq ft; combined, they form the 1,500 sq ft Cottage Luxury Two-Bedroom Suite, with two balconies with six-person hot tubs. The two Governor’s Suites are 1,350 sq ft, and the Presidential and Penthouse Suites 1,600–1,800 sq ft.

Eating and drinking

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is the hotel’s fine-dining room. Bandannas Grill serves hot breakfasts and hearty lunches with views of the golf course and the mountains, and in-room dining is available. Babysitting can be arranged.

Our advice: book a Cottage Luxury Suite for the space and the private hot tub, give an afternoon to the spa, and reserve Ruth’s Chris for your first night.
