About Stein Eriksen Lodge

Stein Eriksen Lodge, named after the Olympic champion and inspired by his Norwegian heritage, calls itself the first luxury property in Park City. It stands mid-mountain at Deer Valley with direct access to the lifts, a spa of pools, plunges and lounges, the Glitretind restaurant and the Troll Hallen lounge.

Mid-mountain at Silver Lake

Stein Eriksen Lodge sits mid-mountain at Deer Valley Resort, about five minutes from Historic Main Street, and describes itself as an authentic year-round European lodge. The style is the one the Norwegian skier made famous: oversized leather chairs, crackling fireplaces and timber. Most guests use the ski locker area, which puts you on the lift-served slopes in a few steps; in summer the same door opens onto hiking and mountain-biking trails.

The spa

The spa has men’s and women’s relaxation lounges and locker rooms, heated outdoor pools and hot tubs, and indoor hot and cold plunge pools, with steam rooms and saunas, a spa boutique of local products and a wellness studio. The hotel says spa amenities are included with treatments of $100 or more (as published in October 2026). The spa opens 9am–7pm in winter and 9am–6pm in summer, with treatments from 9.30am to 5.30pm; the fitness centre is open 5am–11pm with your room key.

An authentic year-round European lodge, in the hotel’s words, mid-mountain at Deer Valley.

The age rules are clear. Massages, facials and body treatments are for guests aged 18 and over, and the indoor spa areas (steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, cold plunges and the lounges) are for adults with a booked treatment only. Teenagers of 12–17 may book salon services such as manicures with a parent present.

Rooms and suites

No two rooms are alike. Deluxe Bedrooms measure 375–700 sq ft and Lodge Luxury Bedrooms about 700 sq ft, sleeping up to four. Lodge Luxury Suites of one to five bedrooms run to 1,200–1,400 sq ft, most with a private deck and hot tub, and the Grand Suites range from 800 to 3,000 sq ft. Every room has a large soaking tub, at least 80 per cent have a fireplace, and select suites add a gourmet kitchen.

Eating and drinking

Glitretind is the main restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner in winter and for dinner in summer, with views over Deer Valley. Troll Hallen is the après lounge, with seasonal cocktails and live entertainment. Stein’s Sunday brunch is a Park City ritual, with wild game chili, cold seafood and more than 30 desserts, and outdoor alpenglobes let you dine under glass in the snow. The wine collection tops 20,000 bottles across more than 2,100 selections, and private tastings can be arranged. First Tracks Kaffe serves the lodge’s own coffee blend, and in-room dining runs around the clock.

Families and ski services

Champions Club is a 3,500 sq ft entertainment centre with arcade games included for guests and a relaxed restaurant of pizzas and burgers. Stein Eriksen Sport, on the main level, rents full ski equipment including helmets.

Our advice: ask for a Lodge Luxury Suite with a private hot tub on the deck, book spa treatments early so you can use the pools and plunges, and reserve Sunday brunch well ahead.
