About Ruka Peak
Ruka Peak is a family-owned chalet high above the forests of Ruka, let as a whole to one group at a time: eight bedrooms with 16 beds over three floors, with three villas nearby for larger parties. Its Sauna World has a traditional smoke sauna beneath the chalet and outdoor hot tubs, and Restaurant Peak cooks alpine-inspired dishes of local ingredients.
A chalet for one group
Ruka Peak is reserved for one group at a time; there are no individual room bookings and no stays for two. The chalet has three floors: guest rooms, the entrance and ski storage on the middle floor, and the Masto Lounge and Vintti on the top. The slopes are 30 metres from the door, with direct access to the Masto Express lift. Three luxury villas, 150–300 metres away, take larger parties.
Sauna World
Beneath the chalet is Sauna World, a cave-like space around a traditional Finnish smoke sauna, with a private outdoor hot tub and a traditional wood-fired Finnish hot tub for bathing under the northern sky. It is for private use only, for groups of about 16, in three-hour bookings with towels, sauna hats and slippers included, and it can be booked even if you are not staying. The chalet’s Kiuta sauna can be added for larger groups.

The rooms
There are eight bedrooms with 16 beds: six Chalet double rooms, the Poro Deluxe Room and the Ahma Suite, which has its own sauna.
Restaurant Peak
Restaurant Peak serves alpine-inspired dishes of local ingredients with panoramic forest views, and welcomes guests who are not staying. It opens in November 2026, Tuesday to Saturday, 11am–10pm, with special hours over Christmas, New Year, the winter holidays and Easter.
Our advice: gather a group of 16 for the chalet, give the Ahma Suite to the hosts, and book a smoke-sauna evening with the hot tubs for the clearest night of your stay.
