Cheval Blanc Courchevel was the brand’s very first Maison: a ski-in, ski-out palace in Les Trois Vallées with just 36 keys, including the Apartment and Le Chalet, designed by Sybille de Margerie. Its Guerlain spa has an indoor infinity pool, an outdoor Russian banya and hot tub, and its tables run from La Terrasse to Yannick Alléno’s Le 1947. It reopens on 4 December 2026.

The first Maison

Cheval Blanc Courchevel is where the Maison began: a palace of Alpine charm in Les Trois Vallées, with ski-in, ski-out access. It is imagined as a family home in the Maison’s signature taupe, and it is also a gallery, from Bruno Peinado’s mirrored horse to Xavier Veilhan’s bear, L’Ours. The winter season opens on 4 December 2026.

The spa and winter baths

The Cheval Blanc Spa by Guerlain opens daily from 10am to 8pm, with treatments created for the Alpine Maison. The indoor infinity-edge pool lies under a ceiling of silver stars, with an indoor jacuzzi; outside, a Russian banya and a hot tub invite you to jump between snow and warmth, and an ice fountain cools tired legs. There is a sauna and a chromotherapy hammam, a fitness room open around the clock with personal trainers, and the Hair Room Service by John Nollet. On the slopes, the Guerlain Winter Beehive offers express treatments between runs.

Rooms and suites

There are just 36 keys, including the Apartment and Le Chalet, designed by Sybille de Margerie in soft fabrics and warm textures. Every room and suite opens onto the mountains, from Superior Rooms to Junior Suites and Duplex Suites.

Eating and drinking

Le 1947 à Cheval Blanc is Yannick Alléno’s gastronomic table behind hushed doors. Lunch is served in the sun on La Terrasse de Cheval Blanc, and evenings move between Le Bar and the fire at Le Grill Alpin.

Families

Le Carrousel is the children’s world of stories and games, with sledging, snowmen and pastry classes; the team also arranges summit picnics, snowshoe walks and dog sledding.

Our advice: ski home to the door, take the banya and the hot tub in the falling snow, and book Le 1947 long before you travel.
