About Chateaux Deer Valley
Chateaux Deer Valley, part of the Stein Collection, stands just across the street from the Silver Lake slopes, close enough to walk in ski boots. It offers rooms with kitchenettes, suites with full kitchens, an outdoor heated pool and hot tubs, breakfast included and the Italian Cena Ristorante.
Across the street from the slopes
The Chateaux is honest about its position: it is not ski-in/ski-out, but it is about as close as you can get, just across the street from the slopes near Silver Lake Lodge and the Sterling chairlift, and you can walk over in your ski boots. Historic Main Street is a few minutes away on the on-demand shuttle, which runs 7am–11pm and is included for guests.
Pool and fitness
There is no full spa, but through the open courtyard you find the outdoor heated pool and hot tubs, open 7am–10pm daily, and a fitness centre open 24 hours with your room key. Stein Eriksen Lodge next door has the Stein Collection’s spa.
About as close as you can get to ski-in/ski-out, in the hotel’s words, just across the street from the slopes.
Rooms and suites
Deluxe Rooms measure 400 sq ft, with a gas fireplace, a kitchenette and king or queen beds. Studios of 500 sq ft and Deluxe Studios of 750 sq ft add full kitchens, dining areas and living rooms, and Luxury Suites of one to four bedrooms span 900–2,700 sq ft, with a full kitchen, gas fireplace and washer and dryer. The Residences at The Chateaux, three- and four-bedroom homes and four-bedroom penthouses, come with valet parking, a toddler room and a teen room, for stays of three nights or more.
Eating and drinking
A breakfast buffet is included for most hotel guests, with an outdoor patio for sunny mornings. Cena Ristorante cooks house-made Italian dishes and opens seasonally for breakfast, lunch, après and dinner, while Cena Lounge, with its copper-topped bar and floor-to-ceiling windows, is the lively après stop for pizzas and pints. Room service and turndown run in winter.
Ski services
Ski ’N See, next to the lobby, rents equipment and clothing in winter; for summer mountain bikes, the hotel points you to Stein Sport at Stein Eriksen Lodge.
Our advice: take a Deluxe Studio or a Luxury Suite if you want to cook, use the pool and hot tubs after skiing, and book Cena for a relaxed Italian dinner.
