About The Cliff Lodge

The Cliff Lodge is Snowbird’s ski-in/ski-out hotel, just across the bridge from the pedestrian village, with every room facing the mountain or the canyon. Its top floors hold The Cliff Spa, with a heated rooftop pool and hot tub, and it has three restaurants, a family pool and an on-site daycare.

Ski-in, ski-out at Snowbird

The Cliff Lodge stands just across the bridge from Snowbird’s pedestrian village, with direct access to the terrain. Every room looks either at the ski runs or down the glacier-carved canyon towards Salt Lake City, and each comes with a ski locker steps from the Chickadee chairlift, close to the Snowbird Center and the Aerial Tram.

The Cliff Spa

The Cliff Spa occupies the top floors of the lodge. Its rooftop pool and hot tub sit beneath Mount Superior and Monte Cristo, with heated decks and gas fire pits, and inside there is a eucalyptus steam room, newly renovated cedar saunas, a solarium, a yoga studio with floor-to-ceiling mountain views and a fitness centre. The menu runs from massages, stone massages and body wraps to facials, manicures and pedicures. Every treatment and fitness class includes the pool and hot tub, and day passes are sold, with a lower rate for lodge guests. The spa is for guests aged 16 and over, and reservations are needed.

A premier ski-in/ski-out hotel in Little Cottonwood Canyon, in the resort’s words, with direct access to Snowbird’s terrain.

For families, a heated outdoor pool and hot tub on Level 3 are open to all Cliff Lodge guests.

The rooms

Mountain-view rooms face the slopes; canyon-view rooms overlook the Level 3 pool and Mount Superior. Spa-Level rooms on the ninth floor, with a king or two queens and robes, include access to The Cliff Spa, and deluxe rooms add a sofa bed and wet bar; two rooms can be combined into a suite. Air conditioning is in the east wing.

Eating and drinking

The Aerie, on Level 10, is the fine-dining room, with floor-to-ceiling mountain views and seasonal, farm-to-table cooking; in season it serves dinner 5–9pm and the lounge stays open until 10pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and reservations are required. SeventyOne, named after Snowbird’s founding year, gives comfort food a ’70s twist, open for breakfast and lunch, and The Atrium serves coffee and pastries from the in-house pastry chef by its tall windows. Room service delivers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Families and ski services

A state-licensed daycare on site takes children from six weeks to 12 years, by the day or in packages, and Cliff Sports rents and repairs equipment in winter. Concierge, valet and self-parking complete the services.

Our advice: book a Spa-Level room so the rooftop pool is part of your stay, reserve The Aerie for a sunset dinner, and book daycare early if you need it.
