About Getting to Zakopane
Kraków is the gateway: from the city and its airport, the road runs south through Podhale to Zakopane, and trains run to Zakopane station, at the end of the line. In town, the Kasprowy cable car starts at Kuźnice (ul. Kuźnice 14) and the Gubałówka funicular near Krupówki (ul. Na Gubałówkę 4), where PKL also has customer offices. The cable car closes each autumn for inspection, in 2026 from 19 October to 6 November.
