Badia Hill stands on Strada Damez in Badia, Alta Badia, with 33 rooms and suites, all with large windows and balconies facing the Dolomites. Its Rooftop Spa has a heated panoramic pool with a pool bar, an adults-only sauna area and a gym, and Ristorante Porcino serves Marco Verginer’s “Dolomites to Sea” tasting menus.

Badia Hill stands at Strada Damez 2A in Badia, in Alta Badia, facing the Sasso Santa Croce and the Dolomites. All 33 rooms and suites have large windows and balconies with mountain views.

The Rooftop Spa

The heated pool looks over the Dolomites, with a whirlpool corner, and opens from 8.30 to 19.30 (earlier on request); from the pool bar you can order cocktails, local cured meats and cheeses without leaving the water. The sauna area is for adults only: a biosauna with large windows to the Dolomites, a Finnish sauna facing the Sasso Santa Croce with an automatic infusion every 20 minutes, and a steam bath, with relaxation areas. The gym, on the second floor, has Technogym equipment and mountain views.

Rooms and suites

There are five categories. Pralina rooms measure 25 m² with a 9 m² terrace for the afternoon sun, Canederlo rooms 30 m² with recipes on the walls, and Bosco rooms 32 m² with a wine fridge instead of a minibar and a panoramic niche. The Sauna Suite (50 m²) has a private sauna and a south-facing 13 m² balcony, and the Cigar Suite (55 m²) a private sauna, an indoor jacuzzi with a view, a ventilated smoking corner and a turntable.

Eating and drinking

Ristorante Porcino cooks “Dolomites to Sea”, Alpine ingredients with touches of the sea and a nose-to-tail approach, as two tasting menus and a five-course vegetarian menu that change with the seasons. Marco Verginer is the chef, and Michaela Mair the sommelier and host. There is also the Bistro, a Stube for cheese fondue and the Lounge Bar.

Our advice: book the Sauna Suite or a Bosco room, swim on the roof with a drink from the pool bar, and reserve Porcino for the tasting menu.
