Viceroy Snowmass, at 130 Wood Road, calls itself the only ski-in/ski-out luxury resort in Snowmass. It offers studios and residences of up to four bedrooms, a full-service spa, an all-season heated pool with spa pools, Latin dining at Toro and the V Team Kids programme.

Ski-in, ski-out in Snowmass

Viceroy Snowmass stands at 130 Wood Road in Snowmass Village and describes itself as the town’s only ski-in/ski-out luxury resort. In winter, Four Mountain Sports and a ski valet are on site; in summer the resort turns to hiking, biking and Aspen’s farmers’ market, which one of its chefs will tour with you.

The spa and pools

The full-service spa has a relaxation lounge and locker rooms with private showers; the women’s side has the signature plunge pool and the men’s side an infrared sauna. The menu centres on massage, from the Viceroy Custom Massage to a High Altitude Massage and Arnica massage, with scrubs and facials. Children under 12 are not allowed in the spa or fitness areas, and 12–17s need a guardian present.

Outside, an all-season heated pool, spa pools and a terrace face the mountain, with pool and lounge chairs reserved for hotel guests.

Suites and residences

Everything here is a suite or residence, across the Cirque and Pinnacle buildings. Pinnacle studios have a fireplace and an efficiency kitchen or wet bar; one- to three-bedroom residences add living rooms with gas fireplaces, kitchens or kitchenettes and private balconies, and the four-bedroom residential suite has a full gourmet kitchen. Penthouses with vaulted great rooms crown both buildings, and many units connect, which suits families.

Eating and drinking

Toro Snowmass serves Latin contemporary cooking, Lift Line Tavern, on Assay Hill, does comfort-food classics by the slopes, the Viceroy Lounge pours cocktails at night and Café V handles coffee and quick bites. In-room dining is available, and summer Veuve Clicquot picnics can be packed for the mountain.

Families and extras

V Team Kids runs activities for younger guests, the resort is dog-friendly, and shared Aspen airport transfers are included when booked at least 24 hours ahead, with courtesy transport around Snowmass Village.

Our advice: book a one- or two-bedroom residence with a balcony for space and a kitchen, end the ski day in the heated pool, and save one night for Toro.
