About The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch
The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is a year-round mountain lodge on Beaver Creek Mountain, ski-in and ski-out in winter. Its 21,000 sq ft spa and fitness centre has a grotto, saunas, steam rooms and hot and cold plunge pools, and the hotel has a year-round heated outdoor pool, WYLD, Sakaba, The Great Room and Buffalos.
A lodge on Beaver Creek Mountain
The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch stands in Bachelor Gulch Village on Beaver Creek Mountain, with ski-in, ski-out access in winter, ski lockers and a ski valet. Stacked stone, rich wood and nature-inspired art set the tone, around a three-storey stone fireplace. In winter the hotel arranges snowmobiling and snowshoe hikes, and in summer hiking and golf.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa
The spa and fitness centre together cover 21,000 sq ft. The spa has The Grotto, a Himalayan salt-wall dry sauna, steam rooms, hot and cold plunge pools and a Recovery Lounge with Theralight sessions, plus a manicure and pedicure salon. Treatments draw on the mountains around it: the signature Miner’s Mineral Mud Wrap uses activated charcoal from Colorado’s mines, with amethyst oil, rose-quartz salt and shea butter, and facials use ESPA products.
A translation of a modern mountain lodge, in the hotel’s words.
The spa facilities are for guests aged 18 and over, and treatments are by appointment, Sunday to Thursday 9am–5pm and Friday and Saturday 9am–7pm. The slopeside fitness centre is open 24 hours, with yoga, Pilates and sound-bowl classes, and the outdoor pool opens 7am–10pm every day of the year, with whirlpools beside it.
Rooms and suites
Rooms are designed as a modern mountain lodge, with wood accents and views of the mountain or the valley. Club Level rooms open the Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, with a concierge, food through the day and a fireplace. Suites run from the Executive Suite and The Ritz-Carlton Suite to one- and two-bedroom Residential Suites, and three- and four-bedroom penthouses suit families and groups.
Eating and drinking
The Great Room, a lodge-style family restaurant, gathers around the three-storey stone fireplace. WYLD is the signature restaurant of local ingredients, with WYLD Bar for cocktails and light bites, Sakaba serves contemporary Japanese sushi, and Buffalos is the gastropub, pouring regional microbrews. The hotel also runs mixology, wine, whisky and sake tastings.
Our advice: book a Club Level room for the lounge, ski back to the door for the outdoor pool at dusk, and keep an evening for sushi at Sakaba.
