About El Lodge
El Lodge stands at the foot of the slopes in Sierra Nevada, Europe’s southernmost ski resort, with direct ski-in, ski-out access to the Maribel run, 33 km from Granada. Its wellness area has the resort’s only open-air heated pool, an indoor pool, an outdoor sauna and a Finnish hot tub, and its rooms and suites, many with terrace jacuzzis, are served by The Grill, The Sun Deck, The Bar and The Lounge.
On the Maribel run
El Lodge sits on Calle Maribel, at the foot of one of Sierra Nevada’s main runs, with ski-in, ski-out access to more than 100 km of pistes in Europe’s southernmost ski resort. Granada is 33 km away and its airport 43 km; Málaga and the Costa del Sol are about two hours. The hotel runs its own ski guides and school and the Prêt-à-Porter equipment hire, and there is a kids’ club.
Wellness
The outdoor heated pool, with mountain views, is the only open-air heated pool in the Sierra Nevada in the hotel’s words, and there is an indoor pool too. Outside, a large sauna with natural light and a Finnish hot tub look over the snow. Two private treatment rooms offer massages with Comfort Zone products, and the gym has Technogym and Kinesis equipment. The pool, gym and spa are open daily, 10:00–20:00.
The only open-air, heated pool in the Sierra Nevada, in the hotel’s words.
Rooms and suites
Lodge Deluxe Rooms have an open-air jacuzzi on the terrace, and some Lodge Premium Rooms have one too, with mountain views. The suites run from the Lodge Suite, facing Pradollano or the mountains, to the Deluxe Suite with a big terrace and jacuzzi, the Premium Suite with two large terraces, the Family and Rooftop Suites, and the Royal Suite with three terraces. La Cabaña is a three-bedroom cabin.
Eating and drinking
The Grill serves breakfast, 08:00–11:00, and dinner, 20:00–23:30. The Sun Deck serves lunch from 13:00 to 16:00, with signature cocktails and gin and tonics by wood-burning fire tables. The Lounge pours aperitifs from 11:00 to midnight, and The Bar opens from 16:00 to midnight.
Our advice: book a Lodge Deluxe Room for the terrace jacuzzi, ski Maribel to the door, lunch on The Sun Deck, and swim in the open-air pool at the end of the day.
