About Hotel Adula
Hotel Adula is a four-star superior on Via Sorts Sut in Flims Waldhaus, near Lake Cauma. Its 1,200 m² spa has a 20-metre indoor pool, an outdoor saltwater pool, saunas and Nescens treatments, and its restaurants range from the Japanese-Peruvian La Muña to the half-board Dining Room and the Adula Kitchen & Bar.
In Flims Waldhaus
The Adula stands on Via Sorts Sut in Flims Waldhaus, a four-star superior hotel with twelve room types, from Superior and Lodge rooms to junior suites, the Alpine Suite and the 1001 Steilas Suite, several with balconies. It is also the hotel that its neighbour, the Schweizerhof, recommends for wheelchair users.
The spa
The spa covers 1,200 m². The heated indoor pool is 20 metres long, and outside there is a saltwater pool. There is a large sauna area with herbal and Finnish saunas, a steam bath and a relaxation area, and a fitness room with new Life Fitness equipment. Treatments use Nescens cosmeceuticals, with signature massages and day-spa packages.
Authenticity, simplicity, generosity: the values of the Dining Room, in the hotel’s words.
The indoor pool and gym open from 7.00 to 21.00, the saltwater pool from 8.30 to 21.00 and the saunas from 10.30 to 20.30; treatments run from 10.00 to 19.00. The gym, the saltwater pool and the sauna area are for guests aged 16 and over, and under-16s may use the indoor pool with an adult.
Eating and drinking
La Muña, named after a Peruvian herb, cooks Japanese-Peruvian food: sushi, sashimi, ceviche, black truffle gyoza, tempura and Wagyu. It opens Wednesday to Saturday, with two dinner sittings, at 18.00 and 21.00. The Dining Room is the elegant, warm room for breakfast and the half-board dinner of fresh Alpine and regional cooking, from 18.00 to 21.00. The Adula Kitchen & Bar serves refined dishes and international classics with local produce, from lunch to aperitif to dinner, and in season there is a Cheese Factory pop-up.
Families
Children have a mini club for play and crafts and an arcade room with air hockey and classic games; these family areas are not supervised by staff.
Our advice: book a junior suite with a balcony, swim in the saltwater pool at dusk, and reserve the second sitting at La Muña for a long evening.
