About Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof Flims
The Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof is a late Belle Époque house more than 100 years old in Flims Waldhaus, run by the same family for four generations, with gardens and forest to the south and the Grisons Alps to the north. Its 48 rooms and apartments share the Badehaus, a 750 m² mountain and woodland spa around a natural stone pool.
A Belle Époque house in Flims
The Schweizerhof stands at Rudi Dadens 1 in Flims Waldhaus, with the Caumasee on its doorstep. It is more than 100 years old, built in the late Belle Époque style, and has been run by the family for four generations. Views open on all sides: gardens and forest to the south, the Grisons Alps to the north.
The Badehaus
The Badehaus is a mountain and woodland spa of 750 m² over three floors. Its natural stone indoor pool measures 7 by 15 metres, 1.20–2.20 metres deep, and uses GRANDER water with a minimum of chlorine, with a cold plunge pool beside it. There is a 90 °C Finnish sauna, a Swiss pine biosauna, an infrared cabin and a steam room, a relaxation room, a pergola, a heated bench and the Waldraum, a spruce room with large sliding windows. Two massage rooms, a coaching room and yoga complete it, with a garden and sunbathing lawn outside.
Where fin de siècle grandeur meets modern comfort, in the hotel’s words.
The spa is for guests aged 16 and over. From May to October 2026 the pool opened from 7.00 to 22.00 and the spa from 11.00 to 20.00; hours change between seasons, so check when you book. Outside guests can book a day spa.
Rooms and apartments
There are 48 restored rooms and apartments. The doubles range from the Minuscule (with a 1.60 m bed) to Ambiance rooms with balconies, Bellevue rooms with mountain views, Deluxe rooms with a bay window or balcony and the Panorama turret room with a bay window to the mountains. Junior Suites have a separate living area and a south-facing balcony, for up to four, and the Villa Helvetia apartments add space with hotel comfort.
Our advice: ask for the turret room or a Junior Suite, walk to the Caumasee before breakfast, and spend the late afternoon in the Waldraum.
