Hotel SOA is a 16-room four-star in Žabljak, at the first kilometre of the road to the Black Lake in Durmitor National Park, built as a contemporary take on traditional Durmitor architecture. It has a mini spa with a Finnish sauna, a hammam and a massage room, a fireside lounge bar facing the Durmitor massif, a restaurant and a wine store.

On the Black Lake road

SOA stands at the first kilometre of the road from Žabljak to the Black Lake, in the heart of Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its architecture reinterprets the traditional houses of Durmitor, and its sister agency, SOA Experience, runs excursions and activities in the park.

The mini spa

The spa is small and well formed: a Finnish sauna, a Turkish hammam, showers and a massage room for relaxation and body care.

Rooms and suites

There are only 16 units: five double rooms, five standard suites, four family suites, an executive suite and a two-bedroom family suite.

Eating and drinking

The Lounge Bar, on the ground floor, has a fireplace and a view of the Durmitor massif, with pizzas, pasta, pancakes and local delicacies from 07:00 to 23:00. The restaurant serves national and international dishes from fresh ingredients, 13:00–23:00, and the wine store stocks bottles from Montenegro and the Balkans to Italy, France and Spain.

Our advice: book a family suite, ski Savin Kuk or Javorovača by day, and spend the evening between the sauna and the fire in the lounge bar.
