About Le Blizzard
Le Blizzard, at 1006 Avenue Olympique in the village heart, was founded in 1963 by Robert and Nicole Cerboneschi and has belonged to their son Pierre since 1988. Its 70 rooms and suites share a heated outdoor pool facing the Bellevarde, a Spa by Clarins, the restaurants Le Blizzard and La Luge, and a fireside bar.
A family hotel since 1963
Robert and Nicole Cerboneschi opened the Blizzard in 1963, and their son Pierre has owned it since 1988, renovating and enlarging the chalet over the years. It stands on Avenue Olympique in the middle of Val d’Isère, at about 1,850 metres.
Pool and spa
The heated outdoor pool is on the solarium terrace, facing the Bellevarde, and in winter it opens with the baths from 9.00 to 21.00. The Spa by Clarins has a sauna, a steam room, a jacuzzi and a fitness centre, with treatments of 30 minutes to an hour and a half, open from 9.00 to 21.00 in winter.

Rooms and suites
There are 70 rooms and suites. Rooms measure 18–35 m², suites 37–51 m² and two-bedroom suites 47–82 m², and interconnecting rooms of 70–84 m² suit families.
Eating and drinking
At Le Blizzard, chef Matthias Marin cooks refined seasonal dishes, sole meunière, rib steak and a gratin of rigatoni with truffles, with cheese and dessert buffets at lunch. In good weather La Terrasse du Blizzard serves lunch by the pool, facing the Bellevarde slope. La Luge is the dinner-only Savoyard room, with a rotisserie in view and two sittings, at 19.00 and 21.30; booking is essential. The Blizzard Bar is known for its fireplace.
Our advice: ask for a room facing the Bellevarde, swim outdoors at dusk, and book La Luge for the rotisserie.
