Sun Valley’s nine rental cottages are stand-alone homes of two to seven bedrooms within walking distance of Sun Valley Village. Several overlook Sun Valley Lake, with outdoor hot tubs and multiple fireplaces, and all are close to the resort’s spa, pools and restaurants.

Homes in the village

The cottages are Sun Valley’s answer for families and groups: private houses with indoor and outdoor space, each with its own character, a short walk from the village and its restaurants, shops and spa.

Hot tubs and the resort spa

Several cottages have their own outdoor hot tubs, the Dollar Cottage’s with a view over the lake. For a full spa day, The Spa at Sun Valley in the Lodge, 20,000 sq ft and open daily, is a short walk away.

Don’t let the name fool you, in the resort’s words: these are homes for large groups and families.

The cottages

The Chateau, the newest, has four bedrooms and just over 5,000 sq ft, with three fireplaces and a sprawling patio over Sun Valley Lake. The Dollar Cottage has seven bedrooms, a wood-burning fireplace, a marble kitchen and a hot tub with a lake view; the Symphony Cottage, newly renovated, sleeps 20 in seven bedrooms, with three fireplaces and a hot tub. The Harriman Cottage, near the Lodge, has five bedrooms, and the View Cottage four, with an outdoor hot tub.

Our advice: book the Dollar or Symphony Cottage for a family reunion on the lake, and reserve spa times in the Lodge when you book.
