Sun Valley Inn opened in 1937 in the heart of Sun Valley Village, its exterior reminiscent of an Austrian ski chalet. Quieter than the Lodge, it has its own steaming outdoor pool, a fitness centre, restaurants including the Ram, and rooms, suites and apartments with European-inspired décor.

The chalet in the village

The Inn followed the Lodge by a year and remains the quieter, chalet-style choice, a short walk from the village’s dining, shopping and recreation. It now has a full convention centre, and the resort’s shuttles run to downtown Ketchum and the airport.

Pool and fitness

The Inn has its own heated, steaming outdoor pool and a fitness centre, and guests are steps from The Spa at Sun Valley in the Lodge, with its treatments and fitness studios.

Rooms, suites and apartments

Inn Traditional rooms have a queen bed, handcrafted French oak furniture and a marble bathroom; Inn Luxury and Inn Grand rooms have a king or two queens, the Grand with a sitting area; Executive Suites have a separate living room. The three-bedroom Inn Apartments, sleeping six, have open-plan living areas and full kitchens. Every room has a refreshment centre with refrigerator and coffee bar.

Eating and drinking

The Ram Restaurant & Ram Bar, Sun Valley’s original restaurant, serves a charming dinner, and the Konditorei, for café-style breakfast and lunch with an Austrian twist, and Village Station are close by.

Our advice: choose the Inn for value and calm in the village, book an apartment for a family, and dine at the Ram on your first night.
