The Lodge at Snowbird is the resort’s original lodge, a short walk from the Snowbird Center and the Aerial Tram. Its rooms and condominiums all have mountain-view balconies, and guests share an outdoor pool and hot tub, a steam room, dry saunas and The Lodge Bistro.

Snowbird’s original lodge

The Lodge at Snowbird stands within a short walk of the Snowbird Center and the Aerial Tram, with every room looking out to the mountains from its own balcony.

Pool, steam and saunas

The pool level has an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, a fire pit and two barbecues, a steam room, men’s and women’s dry saunas and a fitness centre. The barbecues are first come, first served, and a barbecue kit can be borrowed.

Rooms and condominiums

Accommodation runs from standard hotel bedrooms and studios with kitchenettes and Murphy beds to one-bedroom condominiums with a gas fireplace and full kitchen, and loft units of two or three rooms that sleep up to 14. The largest loft has six queen beds and four bathrooms. Ski lockers, a lending library and games are available for guests.

Eating and drinking

The Lodge Bistro, on the pool level, serves high-end American cooking (seasonal salads, small plates, Wagyu hanger steak and Scottish salmon) with an extensive wine list. The Lodge Bistro Lounge, for over-21s, does burgers, quick bites and a lively après. Both open in winter only.

Our advice: The Lodge suits families and groups who want a kitchen and space; take a loft unit, and keep an evening for the Bistro.
