About The Lodge at Spruce Peak
The Lodge at Spruce Peak stands at the centre of Spruce Peak Village, at the base of Stowe Mountain Resort. It offers rooms, studios and suites with kitchens and fireplaces, the Penthouses on its top floors, an expansive spa with 18 treatment rooms, a heated outdoor pool and restaurants led by Alpine Hall and Tipsy Trout.
In Spruce Peak Village
The Lodge is the heart of Spruce Peak, the slopeside village at the base of Stowe Mountain Resort, with Mount Mansfield above and the village’s shops, performing arts centre and seasonal events around it. Spruce Peak offers more than 300 places to stay, from the Lodge to residences and cabins.
The spa and wellness
The spa, with rustic Vermont-style accents and views of Mount Mansfield, is open daily from 7.30am to 7pm. Signature treatments take place in the Healing Lodge or in 18 private treatment rooms, and a treatment includes the day’s use of the fitness centre, the outdoor pool, the Healing Lodge and the spa sanctuary lounge. A salon and a spa butler service complete it. Treatments are for guests 18 and over, and the Healing Lodge and spa amenities for those 15 and over.
Retreat from your retreat, in the resort’s words, with views of Mount Mansfield.
The newly renovated fitness centre uses TechnoGym equipment and runs daily yoga and fitness classes all year, and the heated outdoor pool is open to Lodge guests.
Rooms, suites and penthouses
Classic rooms have marble-tiled bathrooms; Studios average 515 sq ft, with a kitchenette, a stone-framed fireplace and a terrace. Junior Suites average 800 sq ft with gas fireplaces and soaking tubs, One-Bedroom Suites 950 sq ft with full kitchens and washer-dryers, Two-Bedroom Suites 1,200 sq ft and Three-Bedroom Suites 1,600 sq ft, many with terraces. On the fourth and fifth floors, the Penthouses, from about 2,000 sq ft for two bedrooms, have their own concierge, a private lounge with continental breakfast, and a private check-in.
Eating and drinking
Alpine Hall celebrates Vermont’s growers and makers at family tables and a grand bar, with breakfast, lunch and dinner from Chef Sean Blomgren’s menu. Tipsy Trout is the cocktail-forward seafood restaurant, with a raw bar and booths overlooking Mount Mansfield. In summer the Aqua Pool Bar serves the pool, and Pico Taco, The Pantry and Spruce Peak To-Go cover the quick meals. Restaurants and the spa are cash-free.
Our advice: book a One-Bedroom Suite with a terrace for the space and the fireplace, plan a treatment for a rest day so you have the Healing Lodge for the afternoon, and reserve Tipsy Trout for dinner.
