Aspen Snowmass
Limelight Snowmass
Ski-in, ski-out at the Elk Camp Gondola · In depth
About Limelight Snowmass
Limelight Snowmass stands in the heart of Snowmass Base Village with ski-in/ski-out access from the Elk Camp Gondola. It is built for families, with two outdoor spa pools, a five-storey climbing wall, a kids’ room, a full breakfast each morning and wood-fired pizza in the Lounge.
In Snowmass Base Village
Limelight Snowmass sits at the centre of Snowmass Base Village with the Elk Mountains out of the window and ski-in/ski-out access from the Elk Camp Gondola, the gateway to more than 3,000 skiable acres. Aspen is about 9 miles, or 15–20 minutes, away.
Spa pools and recovery
There is no spa, but two outdoor spa pools with cabanas and a fireplace overlook the village, the place to unwind after skiing. Guests can borrow Therabody devices, including the Theragun Pro, and the 1,000 sq ft fitness centre has Peloton and other bikes, treadmills, weights and a changing room with shower.
Your year-round launchpad, in the hotel’s words: part home base, part playground.
Rooms
Rooms are spacious, each with a wet bar, microwave, SMEG fridge and a Lavazza coffee and espresso maker; humidifiers and feather-free rooms are available, and the hotel also lets residences.
Eating and drinking
The Limelight Lounge is the living room of Snowmass. Breakfast, an elevated European-style spread, starts the day, and dinner runs 4–9pm Sunday to Wednesday and until 10pm Thursday to Saturday, with local beers, cocktails and wood-fired pizza, plus live music and community dinners.
Families
The five-storey indoor climbing wall has three self-belay routes, one low for children and beginners, with staff on hand (reservations required). A kids’ room off the Lounge has Xbox, foosball, toys and games, and a BabyBjörn add-on brings carriers, bouncers and travel cribs to your room. Ice skating at Base Village is a few steps away, and e-bikes are lent in summer.
Our advice: this is one of the easiest family bases in Snowmass; book the climbing wall for a late afternoon and finish in the spa pools by the fire.
